A Free Play EP
Farewell to Gerry
Today, my grief finally showed as an outburst inward story of my first music composition and improvisation maestro Gerry Weil, the quintessential Venezuelan Jazz pianist, composer, and educator.
Free Play was the first music philosophy book he asked me to read and experience empirically. Free Play was his entire life, he lived fully connected to play, in all forms and across multiple disciplines. He always reminds us that he would much rather have it raw and in the pocket than on any grid! This goes out to you Maestro Weil! I will leave the 7th piece to you.....

I would like to honor him with this humble Free Improvisation EP, as a Farewell to Gerry. I will see you again soon, I am sure, and you will teach and play with us many more tunes and grooves!
